New Coaches, New Season, New Goals!
We are very excited to officially announce the addition of two new coaches to our amazing coaching team!
As the 2025 fencing season wraps up, we’re looking forward to the new 2026 season: new junior fencers are rising, former fencers, now college graduates, return home with new goals, and a working plan lies ahead even before the Summer Nationals!
Welcome, Miles Weiss, and Rodaina Gaafar!
Miles Weiss

Well-known nationally and internationally épée fencer, who won numerous Cadet and Junior titles, as well as several gold medals with the US Team.
Some of his college results:
16th at the 2024 NCAA qualifier
Three-time First Team All-CCFC (2022-24)
Honorable mention all-region, 2023; second team, 2024
2023 CCFC epee champion, tied for third in 2024
Three-time Ohio State Scholar-Athlete and two-time Academic All-Big Ten pick
Miles currently ranks 24th in Senior Men’s Epee National Points Standings and trains for the 2028 Olympic Games qualification.

Rodaina Gaafar
Rodaina was born in Cairo, Egypt, and graduated from the University of Incarnate Word, San Antonio, TX, in 2025 with a double major in international business and marketing.
Some of her fencing achievements are:
African Champion in junior, cadet, and teams divisions, 2019/2020.
1st place Senior African games(teams).
2021: 5th in the World Rankings, 12th place in Junior World Championships
College: MPSF Fencing All-Academic Team.
MPSF Fencer of the Week
Gold at the Women’s Epee at the NCAA West Regionals.
Gold in the MPSF Championships for Epee.
