14 years old Emily Vermeule takes 10th place in St. Louis
Great performance by our young fencers at the January NAC, in St. Louis!
Our young Emily Vermeule does it again, taking the 10th place in Junior Women’s Epee event, at only 14 years old!
Names like Kasia Nixon, Amanda Sirico, Tatijana Stewart, have topped the winners list, as usual and, here we have it – Emily, number 10 – great fencing, Emily, once again!
• Div I Women’s Epee, Alejandra Trumble comes in 31st, followed by, once again, Emily Vermeule, 41st.
• 15 year old Robert Hondor places 69th out of 201 epeeists, in Junior Men’s Epee and 131 out of 286 in Div 1 Men’s Epee.
• In addition with Emily’s 10th place in Junior Women’s Epee, Isabel Kain placed 51st out of 130.
This was the third and final Div I North American Cup of the 2015-16 season
and is one of the tournaments that will be used as part of the qualification process for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
Close to 2000 competitors have participated, among those, the very best in all three weapons.

• Race Imboden (Brooklyn, N.Y. / Men’s Foil), 2012 Olympian and 2013 Senior World team silver medalist.
• Ibtihaj Muhammad (Maplewood, N.J. / Women’s Saber), 2014 Senior World Team Champion.
• Eliza Stone (Chicago, Ill. / Women’s Saber), 2014 Senior World Team Champion.
• Daria Schneider (New York City, N.Y. / Women’s Saber), two-time Senior World team medalist.
