Camps and Clinics

Olympia Fencing Center offers seasonal fencing camps during all school vacations, for all ages and levels.

Our club is the primary choice for foreign fencers who travel for vacation, work, or study, to join our students in their practice.
Over the years, we welcomed students from Italy, Hungary, China, Romania, Qatar, France, Egypt, Korea, and many other countries.  We established amazing connections and made worldwide friends among our international guest coaches and high-ranked fencers,  whom we’re always happy to see during our annual camp sessions, and when traveling to international competitions.
Some of our past guests include Olympic medalist and currently the President of the Spanish Fencing Federation, Luis Pirri Abajo, multiple world and Olympic medalist, Romanian épéeist Ana Maria Popescu, the National coach of the Romanian Women’s Épée Team, Cornel Milan,  former National Egyptian Team fencer Elsayed Emara, currently the owner and fencing coach at Peoria Fencing Academy (Peoria, IL).

Now, with two locations: in the beautiful Fresh Pond of Cambridge, and another one right in the heart of Newton Highlands, our club aims to make the wonderful sport of fencing more accessible to the surrounding cities.

Épée Fencing Camps for beginner/intermediate

The fencing camps are designed for children ages 8- 14, with little or no fencing experience. Intermediate épée fencers with under 3 years of competition experience are also welcome. Fencers will be split according to age/skill level for fencing-specific drills/exercises. Full fencing gear is provided.

The campers will learn about the Olympic sport of fencing in a fun and safe environment.

Both our facilities are air-conditioned, and include 15 electrical fencing strips each, changing rooms, a view area for parents, a homework station, kitchen space (fridge, coffee maker).
All fencing equipment is provided.  Every child brings home a camp T-shirt and lots of great memories!
Our experienced coaches will teach you to hold a sword and the tricks of the first touch!
All of our coaches are United States Fencing Association professional members, CORI/Safe Sport certified, with extensive experience working with children, many are teachers in the Cambridge schools.

Fencers out of the state are welcome to attend, boarding may be arranged upon request. Contact us for more information.
