October competitions and latest results
- Cedar Grove, NJ – Regional Junior & Cadet Circuit, at Lilov Fencing Academy: Congratulations to Robert Hondor for his Silver medal and qualifying for Junior Olympic Championships (Feb. 13/16, Richmond, VA).
In the same competition, Josh Wolkoff, fencing in the Men’s Junior event, won another Silver medal.
- Olympia’s annual Witches and Wizards Epee Open have been great fun and challenge, as well, here are the 2014 winners:
Hannah Provenza – 1st Place
Nadia Eldeib – 2nd
Cristina Gordet, at a tie with Alissa Hofmann for 3rd place, in the Women’s event.
For Men:
Matthew Mansoor – Gold
Kevin Foley – Silver
Robert Hondor and George Scott – Bronze.
- Olympia’s second series for beginners, D’Artagnan’s Challenge, Mixed Y10/12, with an impressive participation of over 30 Musketeers, had its winners, too.
Congratulations to the Gold, Silver and Bronze winners – Neil Hommes, Tiernan Green, Ava Wade and Tony Whelan, as well to those placed in top 8th – Mario Mrowka, David Lai, Ian Wright and Marcel Szegedi (Y12) and Emilio Bankier, Bora Kosar, Jordan Macarty and Anton Kubatin (Y10).
