Home Schoolers
Introducing the Homeschoolers Fencing League!
Participating in organized sports teams is a good way for children to interact with other children their own age (outside of their family), and learn valuable social lessons.
Finding and connecting with other families in your area can be an amazing resource for your family.
Your child can find friends that are also homeschooled, you can get support from other homeschooling parents, and keep your children healthy and happy, both physically and mentally.
The Homeschoolers Fencing League will consist of two teams: Cambridge Team and Newton Team.
Fencers of different ages will practice mornings during the week, from August 1st to July 31st, each season. Several competitions will be set up during the season, between the two locations, consisting of both individual and team events.
For the individual events, medals and points will be awarded. A rolling point system will be set up, and rolling points winners, both individuals, and teams, will receive a trophy each at the end of the season.
We believe that this will be fun, and a great start to the Interclubs Fencing Homeschoolers League of Massachusetts!
Our hope is that, by creating these programs, more children and teens will get the opportunity to discover a great sport, across body types and ages, to create friendships and a strong team spirit!
