JO Qualifiers – Double Gold, Double Silver and Bronze medals, for Olympia’s fencers!
Best fencers in the New England Division have participated this weekend to the Qualifiers for the 2015 Junior Olympic Championships (Richmond, VA, Feb. 3-5), held at Boston Fencing Club.
Olympia Fencing Center epeeists have dominated the competition, with ten fencers in top 16 and bringing home eight medals: two Gold, two Silver, one Bronze, a 5th and two 6th places!
Joshua Wolkoff and Isabel Kain – Gold
Noah Scott and Emma Harris – Silver.
Matthew Mansoor – Bronze.
Alissa Hofmann – 5th.
Robert Hondor and Becca Barnes – 6th.
Congratulations to our boys and girls, qualified for the Junior Olympics – thanks, coaches Daniel Hondor and Iliya Mechkov, parents and, nonetheless, Lori Schmidt and Hanna Provenza, for cheering and support!
